Message from Mr Newton

Dear Parents & Carers,

I can't believe that I have been here for only eight weeks! I hope that you have enjoyed the first half term and that you are looking forward to a break (I am, although I will have my own children to entertain!) Upon our return, we will approach Diwali. Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is a celebration that embodies the school's ASPIRE values of aspiration, success, pride, integrity, and equality. It marks the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, inspiring individuals to aspire for inner growth and success in both spiritual and worldly realms. The festival fosters a sense of pride in cultural and spiritual heritage, while also encouraging the practice of integrity through self-reflection and honest living. Diwali's universal message of equality reminds us that the light within every soul deserves to shine equally, irrespective of social status. As the Bhagavad Gita states, “He who has no attachments can really love others, for his love is pure and divine,” and the Guru Granth Sahib echoes, “All beings and creatures are His; He belongs to all.” These timeless teachings encourage us to nurture a spirit of oneness and kindness, values central to the celebration of Diwali. Whatever you are up to this coming week - have a great half term and we will see you all on the 4th November!
