Safeguarding

Millbrook Combined School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  In accordance with our responsibilities under section 175/157 of the Education Act 2002, and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2020, we have Designated Safeguarding Leads for Child Protection. All staff and governors receive regular  Safeguarding and Prevent training.

To promote a safe and secure environment, all staff and volunteers are checked in compliance with safer recruitment procedures.  We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare. This includes making a referral to Social Care.

The safeguarding team can be contacted by email on safeguarding@millbrook.bucks.sch.uk or via the school office (01494 524791).
