The school day is organised into two sessions, a morning session and an afternoon session. All pupils in Years 1 to 6 have a morning break. Afternoon breaks are used when appropriate, at the discretion of class teachers. These are arranged and managed in accordance with the age of the children.

Parents should ensure that children arrive punctually at school. Lower and Upper School children should be on the playground before 8.40am, ready to go into school by 8.50am. Foundation Stage children should arrive at school by 8.50am. The playground doors and gates are locked at 8.50 a.m. when the children have gone into school. Parents or children arriving after 8.50am should use the main front entrance.
Years 1 to 6 have a minimum of 32.5hours each week.
To ensure a smooth start to the school day, and given the constraints of the school site, once children are in Year 1, we expect them to walk in from the playground without their parent present. Staff are always on duty at the start of the day if messages need to be passed on.
